The focus will be on nanocomposite materials for applications in the fields of the production of components for alternative energies (e.g. solar cells, fuel cells), of biosensors, and heterogeneous catalysis. This activity will contribute to increase the competitiveness of the local productive system in those sectors. In particular, it will try to sustain and direct the specific needs of the local companies in the field of the industrial research and development of nanomaterials and their applications, by combining π-conjugated organic systems and products from the specific objective 1 for producing nanocomposites .
