CLaN and Pro-Cult projects, coordinated by CNR-IMIP UOS Potenza and CNR-IBAM UOS Potenza, respectively, have given the opportunity to discuss about the integration of new scientific technologies used to characterize archaeological and monumental heritage, as well as the "CHARISMA" infrastructural European project for the advanced research on the same field. In addition to projects members the eminent international experts  took part at the workshop as Prof. Demetrios Anglos (FORTH-IESL Crete - Greece) and Prof. Roberto Teghil (University of Basilicata) who was the chairman of the event.

The results obtained during the research work developed during the CLaN project (co-financed by Operational Programme ERDF Basilicata 2007-2013) inherent the synthesis and characterization of nanostrucuturated innovative materials was showed during the XXXV National Congress of Organic Chemical Division (Semptember 9th-13th, 2013, University of Sassari).

Euro-Mediterranean Symposium on Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy Congress, took place in Bari, Italy, on 16th-20th October 2013, the results of research work developed in the CLaN project (co-financed by Operational Programme ERDF Basilicata 2007-2013)  inherent the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of nanoparticles by laser techniques have been presented. Participation to the congress represented a stimulant opportunity of growth and fruitful discussions with the scientific community working in this context.

The CLaN project's work inherent the synthesis and characterization of metallic nanoparticles produced by laser techniques was illustrated during the IX National Congress of Materials Science and Technologies (INSTM). The CLaN project is co-financed by Operational Programme ERDF Basilicata 2007-2013 and it is coordinated by CNR-IMIP UOS Potenza.

The Congress represented an important opportunity for discussing among INSTM's researchers, research corporations and Industry working on science, technology and material engineering.

The Congress took place in Bari from 30 June to 3 July, 2013.

E-MRS (European Materials Research Society) promotes development of humanity eco-friendly solutions in order to confirm the European's role in the global-market, encouraging research and industry to establish closer links.

This "philosophy" is on the base of the CLaN project (co-financed by Operational Programme ERDF Basilicata 2007-2013) that aims to develop new laser integrated methodologies for the production  and characterization of technological new nanomaterials. In this context the project aims to increase in Basilicata the competence and competitiveness in strategical technological sectors by strengthening their participation to international scientific networks of cooperation.
