The Project Laser Deposition FOR SENSORS (LDFs) is among the objectives of:
Project "PO FESR Basilicata 2007-2013 - Projects of Territorial Cooperation”.
The main objective of the project is thin films deposition of materials for sensors with high sensitivity and specificity, easy to use, low cost and portability in situ.
The different phases of the project concern studies on thin films depostion of magnetic materials with high field. These innovative materials find application in the field of magnetic electronic memories and for materials identification (without direct contact to protect from thermal and chemical contaminations) by RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification).
Further interest of the project is the study and the thin films deposition of organic antioxidants in biological systems. This activity is usefull for the detection of individual elements with low concentrations. These films allow to obtain the semi-quantitative analysis of different substances and can be used in agri-food industry.
The project activities contribute to a technological transfer of new technologies to technological districts, science parks, associations of small and medium-sized enterprises and others technical associations.
